Reports & Insights

Every completed submission generates a report. This page explains what’s in it, what the numbers mean, and how to use the cohort-level analytics to get an overview of your entire pipeline.

Open any completed submission from your cohort’s Submissions tab to see its full report. Here’s what each section contains:

A 2–4 sentence description of the business, written by the platform from the applicant’s answers. Read this first — it’s the fastest way to understand what the application is about before you dig into the scores.

Three scores are shown for every completed submission:

How clearly the founder has articulated their business idea. A high clarity score means the application is well-structured, specific, and internally consistent — the reviewer can tell exactly what the business does, who it serves, and how.

A low clarity score doesn’t automatically mean the idea is bad. It means the application doesn’t communicate it well. Sometimes a low-clarity application from a strong founder is worth a closer read; sometimes it reflects that the founder hasn’t yet thought the idea through.

How well this founder and their idea match what your programme is specifically looking for. This score is personalised to your programme — it’s based entirely on your Programme Ethos and the fit criteria you set on your form.

The overall fit score is a weighted average of your individual fit dimensions (see below). A high fit score means this is a strong candidate for your programme, not necessarily the strongest business idea in absolute terms.

A broad assessment of the business idea’s quality, independent of your specific programme. Think of it as the platform’s view of how viable and well-conceived the venture is, across:

  • Market opportunity and size
  • Clarity of the value proposition
  • Evidence of traction or validation
  • Team credibility
  • Business model coherence
Score What it means
4.0 – 5.0 Strong — a compelling, well-evidenced idea
3.0 – 3.9 Promising — solid foundations, some gaps
2.0 – 2.9 Unclear — potential visible but significant gaps
0 – 1.9 Weak — fundamental questions unanswered

Below the overall fit score, you’ll see a breakdown into the individual dimensions you defined in your fit criteria — for example:

Dimension Score Weight
Founder-Market Fit 85 30%
Social Impact Potential 72 25%
Market Opportunity 68 25%
Team Strength 61 20%

This breakdown tells you why the overall fit score is what it is. An applicant who scores high overall but low on your highest-weighted dimension may still be a weaker candidate than their headline score suggests.

The fit reasoning section below the dimensions gives a written explanation of the scores in plain language — particularly useful when you’re not sure why a score came out the way it did.

If any of the applicant’s answers failed your eligibility checks, those flags appear at the top of the report with a clear description of what was flagged.

Flags don’t automatically disqualify an application. They’re a signal — review them and decide whether the flag is a dealbreaker for your programme.

Below the main report, seven deeper analysis sections are generated:

Section What it’s useful for
Opportunity Snapshot Quick orientation on the market and timing
Founder Readiness Level How prepared this founder is to execute — not just the idea
Validation Gaps What’s unproven and where risk lies
Support Priority What this founder most needs from your programme if accepted
Programme Fit Recommendation A direct recommendation — useful as a second opinion before deciding
Programme Team Note Internal observations for your team’s eyes only
Founder Readiness Story A full narrative combining all sections — useful for sharing with a selection panel

The Overview tab of each cohort shows aggregate insights across all submissions in that cohort:

  • Total submissions — and how many are in each pipeline stage
  • Pipeline breakdown — analysing, pending review, approved, rejected
  • Average fit score — across all complete submissions
  • Average clarity score — across all complete submissions
  • Strength bands — how many submissions fall into Strong / Promising / Unclear / Weak
  • Top sectors — the most common industry classifications in this cohort

Use these to quickly understand what kind of applications you’re getting — are they mostly strong fits with low clarity (founders who know their space but can’t articulate it)? Or high clarity but low fit (well-articulated ideas that aren’t right for your programme)?

To export all submissions for a cohort as a spreadsheet, go to the Submissions tab and click Export CSV. The export includes all submission answers, scores, and review decisions in a single file.
